Add the AwesomeVideo MCP server to Claude

Claude (web, Desktop, Cowork): custom connector

Pro and Max plans. Free plans can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an owner adds it first under Organization settings > Connectors.

   Open Customize > Connectors.

   Click + Add, then Add custom connector.

   Name it AwesomeVideo and paste the server URL, then click Continue.

   Keep the detected sign-in (OAuth). Under OAuth client keep Use Claude's published identity, then click Add.

   Sign in with the AwesomeVideo account that holds your credits. In a chat, open + > Connectors and turn AwesomeVideo on.

Claude Code: one command

With an API key (get one free with POST /v1/keys/anonymous or at awesomevideoeditor.com/account):

   Add the server with your key in a header.

   Check it. You should see ✔ Connected.

   Or use OAuth instead of a key: add the OAuth URL, then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in.

Good to know

• Claude connects to remote MCP servers from Anthropic's cloud, so the public URL above is all it needs.
• Request headers are another option in the connector dialog: add Authorization: Bearer av_live_... if you prefer an API key to OAuth.
• Captioning costs 5 credits per minute (1 credit = 1 cent). estimate and previews are free; failed jobs are refunded.

• Create an AwesomeVideo key for me and tell me the balance.
• Show me free style previews of karaoke and hormozi-style on https://example.com/talk.mp4.
• Caption https://example.com/talk.mp4 with the pop-words preset for TikTok and give me the MP4 and SRT.
